Hyderabad: Two CDs labelled “Jyothi madam” and “More than my life” were seized by CID sleuths from ‘secret store rooms’ in two flats ostensibly belonging to B Ramalinga Raju. Flat Number 507 of Gulrez Apartments, Raj Bhavan Road, Somajiguda, and another flat in Manjari Apartments opposite Gulrez were raided by the CID sleuths on specific information understood to have been revealed to the police by Srinivas Vadlamani. Also seized were several property documents and bank records.
CID sources said the former Satyam boss and his associates had been using these flats to hide crucial documents. “The flats are always locked and only a few have access to it. Fearing searches at their houses, they moved the documents to these flats after the infamous Jan. 7 confession of Ramalinga Raju,” a CID source said.
According to the documents, several thousands of acres of land have been registered on behalf of various companies and individuals in AP, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra and Karnataka. IG (CID) V S K Kaumudi confirmed the searches and said CID officials were busy organising information collected during the searches. Using the evidence, CID officials are planning to grill the duo on Friday.
Meanwhile, a hunt is on for B Suryanarayana Raju, MD of SRSR Advisory Services Limited. “There are two allegations against SRSR—several property documents have been seized from the office of SRSR at Jubilee Hills and SRSR was involved in trading of Satyam scripts,” the CID official said.
The CID investigators have also confirmed that Satyam Computers had used fake documents to show capital in their accounts. So far, HDFC Bank and BNP Paribas have confirmed about the fake documents. Four more banks have to send their response.
